PREFFERED SUBJECTS

Some materials prove to be signatures. Nubuck is by its very nature a high-quality leather, and for Maison arche this leather can only be chosen from strictly European origins. Its velvety appearance and dye affinity with the finest colors make the difference at first glance. For example, even the classic shade of black takes on a very special depth - as demonstrated by the AURIAN sandal. Its intense tone can be stroked with a caress, without fear of water thanks to its waterproof primer. And it's unrivalled in highlighting the design of the one-piece strap. The meticulous attention paid to materials makes some design houses more exclusive than others. To fully express the radicality of his brutalist shapes, Travis James, founder of STUDIO MAY FURNITURE, uses a material he knows the secret of. Maykume is a wood finished to the precious feel of polished stone. Derived from fast-growing trees, this wood is hand-honed to a smooth, matte finish, which has become the hallmark of May's luxury furniture.

WELLNESS WITH STYLE

Nestled in the red rocks of the Sedona canyon, and redesigned by GLUCKMAN TANG ARCHITECT, the MII AMO spa celebrates the experience of its natural surroundings with an aesthetic as authentic as it is contemporary. As a destination, hedonism is the order of the day, with all senses awakened. Adobe bricks and wood magnify the colors and textures of the desert, while adding an assertive modernity. Every detail is designed to immerse guests in the surrounding landscape, while the contemporary setting reveals a - luxuriously - singular experience. This emotion, essentially linked to well-being, is one of the design principles also cultivated by Maison Arche. Shapes, colors and materials are all chosen and combined to create shoes that are as appealing to the eye as they are soft to wear. With its fringed terracotta lace-up strap, the aesthetic signature of the new KAKUMA arche sandal makes it part of a current trend, while perpetuating the tireless pleasure of walking.

PURITY

The sense of curve defines Arche’s style. The AUDALI Summer 25 sandal seem to be embraced in a single stroke. The soft, matte leather accompanies a harmoniously flexible walk. Wearing this Arche creation, movement and gestures naturally take on an elegant ease. As Alessandra Facchinetti says for EDITIONS MILANO, “It's important for me to understand how we touch an object and how this affects our gestures”. Indeed, the Circle line of five objects dedicated to serving tea and coffee promises to exalt morning routines. Cups, mugs, teapots and sugar bowls combine gesture and mouth. Inspired by the shape of a perfect circle, the collection's delicate circular handle and graphic variations encourage a sensitive tasting experience rather than a basic act of consumption.

AT THE PEAK OF LIGHT

When the light shines, when fine days take to the air. The new SOUAHM sandal, with its full-flower leather and pleasantly high heel, brings all the lightness expected of summer strolls. Spread out in petals and organic curves on an open, unfenced site in Bangkok, the CURVY DINING restaurant was designed by Thai studio UNKNOWN SURFACE STUDIO. Inspired by the wildflowers on the site, the architecture deploys grapes and strokes of light with grace and softness. Between exterior and interior, the space unfolds step by step, revealing the very open experience of a meticulously constructed form.

A LITLLE SOMETHING

Finding harmony between flowing gesture and balanced attitude: the supple new arche PAROHA creation is accentuated by a square cut and a small heel with a precise offset. The subtly emphasized geometry of this baby gives it that touch of audacity that the Maison arche cultivates. The Coffee 2 ceramic mug by Benjamin MIGLIORE and Albert PUIG immediately gives coffee a more intense flavor. Its inclination, its cubic handle and its unexpected stability attract the desire to use it and to indulge in small pleasures of variable and addictive geometry.

GRAPHIC MIX

Playing the role of an atypical crossbreed, Reunion-based design studio APPARTEMENT 2 favors the use of local materials. Tropical is combined with minimal, according to a rigorously French savoir-faire to which Caro and Gui bring a unique poetic dimension. In this case, the DIPLOPODA collection is inspired by the shape of the myriapod - in other words, the centipede that loves the rainy season on Reunion Island. At the crossroads between feminine classics and cultivated graphics, the new NIKABY babies also interpret contrasts and curves in noble, carefully selected materials - with that little extra creative smile that's French style.

LEVEL OF INNOVATION

To renew the experience of urban stays in Melbourne, here's a new signature hotel in a new building. The ambition is lofty, but the challenge has been met by - surprise - an independent hotel. MELBOURNE PLACE puts all its luxury into emotion: particularly that which is gleaned from the sensations of materials - Australian jarrah wood, linen, brick & steel - and immersion in deep colors. From the bottom to the top of the sixteen floors, the architecture and interior design by the KENNEDY NOLAN agency have a sense of light, always warm and welcoming. Although new, this hotel feels surprisingly familiar. Perhaps because it respects the spirit of its surroundings: the city and its vibrant culture. In fact, just to catch the mood, we can imagine ourselves chilling out on the rooftop of this new hotel with a pair of SOUAKO moccasins... Classics we think we've known all our lives, so much so that they embrace the affective materials of the Maison arche. And yet this is a brand-new heeled line combining wood and Lactae hevea®, for a look that's as active as it is casual.

COMMON FEATURE

Finding the right balance between the impact of the design and the expressiveness of the material. Shaping a piece so that it can be adapted to current, everyday gestures. In creating its Undated line of seating, studio NÆSSI combines its demand for formal linearity with a very human sensibility. The ultra-artisanal Shou Sugi Ban finish of the oak creates a delightfully tactile - as well as resistant - material. The volumes are radically imposing, massive, and yet invite spontaneous, unassuming sitting. That's the beauty of a well-designed object: when it naturally supports movement while catching the eye... and the hand. A fisherman-style sandal, the new HONIKO Arche style is accentuated by assertive volumes, wrapped in the softness of plain leather and, above all, unites with every seasonal escape. This is because the creativity of the design studio and the expertise of the arche workshops are united around the same ambition for quality: to create lovely shoes.

CONTEMPORARY TRADITIONS

In designing the Progreso Museum of Geology, Mexican architectural firm ESTUDIO MMX has regenerated pre-Columbian heritage in resolutely contemporary volumes. The open-air shadow paths and light trails are inspired by the fundamentals of Mayan architecture. The sustainable finish of chukum plaster is ancestral to the Yucatan. As a whole and from every angle, the space is as soothing as it is intriguing. Like an invitation to a timeless journey. And when it comes to timelessness, the sandal is one of the pieces that deserves to be tirelessly revisited. It's as much a question of tradition as it is of typically Arche comfort: the new SADYMA model is fitted with a sole in Lactae Hevea® with very natural absorption. Scrupulously chosen leathers highlight the cut-out effects that not only enhance the suppleness of the walk, but also create a subtly renewed style.

SUSPENDED TIMES

JEREMY MAXWELL WINTREBERT's Cive pliée Chandelier light fixture suspends its amber glass discs to create a radiant atmosphere. Like membranes enveloping the light, these seemingly simple forms bend with patient, meticulous skill. Made of hand-blown glass, these disks crystallize the temporality of savoir-faire, the fusion of research and creation. Innovating with materials, making them obvious and sensitive, questioning and renewing them: in keeping with this fascinating exercise, Maison arche works tirelessly on its sense of color and sensitivity to touch. Its material: leather in all its excellence and whimsy, as evidenced by the new LAKRYE creation with its mahogany highlights.

HIGH LOYALTY

A connected loudspeaker in an innovative aluminum body: the Beosound 2 from BANG & OLUFSEN stands out both for its purity of sound and for its intelligent, singular aesthetic. In most cases, loudspeakers are meant to be heard rather than seen. And still, starting with the TORSTEN VALEUR design, the emphasis placed on colors enhances the expressiveness of the object: Chromaesthetes will be all the more pleased with the Gradient Collection limited series. In contrast, the arche ballerinas slip on without a sound: with their Lactae Hevea® soles, you walk in fluid, unobtrusive silence. But so colorful. While remaining resolutely faithful to their original line, LAIUS and their new summer 2025 shades may vary the expression and feel of the walk. In exceptional leather, the iconic arche takes on an unprecedented metallic sheen - in a bold pink or a more enigmatic blue.

STYLE CHOREOGRAPHY

Like a dance step. Graceful and precise. Playing on the delicate balance between poise and movement. The Pointe Side Table console by TATJANA VON STEIN pays tribute to both the strength and refinement of a classical ballet position. As for the new SADYAK arche style, it also refers to what makes a ballerina elegant. From roundness to harmonious counterpoint, from suppleness to fluidity: the Sadyak ballerina connects all the happy side-steps with style.

RICH LEGACIES

By revisiting the codes of the iconic - and historic - ballerina arche, the new LAMDIA style expresses a new history. Its silver latticework updates the mix between graphic parti-pris and a taste for suppleness, both hallmarks of the Maison arche. In its own way, HÔTEL PURO also resonates with a strong heritage. It is located in a district of Warsaw where modernist architecture plays a major role. Geometric shapes, concrete and steel in straight lines are at one with the capital's heritage. The façade designed by JEMS Architekci for the Hotel Puro is a dialogue with the historical identity of its surroundings. Still the interior - designed by the DE SALLES FLINT studio - brings a subtle, highly contemporary touch of comfort to this radical tribute. From the roof-top to the lobby, a gentle twist of fabrics and colors rounds out the angles. To live in, the whole interacts with the spirit of a high-energy city.

EXQUISITELY TIMELESS

Timeless derbies to explore all contemporary paths: point by point, the new arche PAROME creation renews the codes of an easy-to-wear shoe with subtly original aesthetic details. Square toe, profiled sole and perforated nubuck are embellished by meticulous French craftsmanship. Between out-of-date elixirs and an elegantly futuristic experience, the ARTIFACT bar sets the scene in Central Hong Kong. Speakeasy designed by Nelson Chow - NC DESIGN & ARCHITECTURE - the venue combines functional elements with a luxurious aesthetic. The tiles covering the walls are a case in point: the acoustic quality of these graphic elements creates a resolutely muffled sensation, sheltered from outside turbulence. A place to savor the times.

RELEVANT AUDACITY

What could be more constant than a stool? Yet MARTINO GAMPER's creations have their own way of telling the story of materials, techniques, places and people. In this respect, the bar stool stands out from its seating family for its convivial spirit and the dynamic way in which it is used. For the iconic THONET brand, GAMPER offers a new interpretation of the notion of informal seating. The TRIO stool with its tripod structure and curved wood highlights the geometry of the triangle. As you walk around the stool, a well-balanced design at the crossroads of each leg and strut creates a loop. The new PAROHA style is a fresh take on the curvaceous babies. With its softened square toe and bold graphic sole, PAROHA subtly challenges the usual codes of babies.

PURE INTENTION

Architectural furniture and minimalist design: MARTIN MASSÉ's creations take the eye and the touch to the luxury of the essential. In particular, the Marta collection finely explores clean, curved and smooth lines. A sleek line that brings precious materials to life. Here's a clear inspiration to eliminate all excess and superficiality: an aim to which the Maison Arche is committed by promoting pure, simple delight in wearing. Just slip on PARIGI ballerinas and you'll feel it. Sophisticated, streamlined, luxuriously supple and obviously free from unnecessary artifice.

ENVELOPING MOTION

In seemingly minimal lines, DENIS CASTAING's lamps architect a rich palette of solids and voids, glazed or grained surfaces, each with a strong presence. The use of chamotte clay bends form and imparts subtle movement. Light is enveloped and its radiance deployed. Alternating the mattness of a technical textile and the shine of patent leather, full curves and rhythmic striations, HAVOLI sneakers deepen the range of blacks. Material cut-outs catch the light and elegantly envelop movement.

TASTE OF IDENTITY

In the Loire Valley, wine is a culture. An internationally-recognized know-how, rooted in tradition - often family tradition - but open to creation. And it's certainly in these lands that Maison Arche has been perpetuating and regenerating its shoe collections like precious vintages for three generations. As evidenced by the HAVOKA slip-on, quality craftsmanship is the cornerstone of Maison Arche's identity, but each season brings its own touch of graphic uniqueness. The harmonious blend of the traditional and the contemporary is always a daring concept. In the spirit of wine, architect FRANCESC RIFÉ has paid homage to the heritage of the TRITIUM cellars. In restoring this space dedicated to the discovery of Rioja wines, the architect has integrated the original 15th-century structure into a new, minimalist construction. The deep-black burnt-wood façade is reminiscent of wine barrels. Inside, light is strategically dosed to magnify the visit and tasting stages. Francesc Rifé has created a project that is both functional and emotional, where every detail is designed to enrich the experience and underline the profound link between design and wine-making tradition.

LIVING LINES

A playful aesthetic, a feeling of comfortable embrace: with its different colors, from chalk to umber, the Take line designed by ROSS SOROKOVYI aims to magnify everyday life. And what could be more everyday than walking, browsing and bouncing? HAVATA sneakers bring a playful chic to the silhouette in their own unique way. A match of contrasting lines, technical fabrics and sophisticated leathers: their assets give free rein to every kind of wear.

ELEMENTARY DEFINITIONS

Pure and simple, the HONAKA arche derbies renew the timeless allure of a model borrowed from men, but so very feminine. In this new version in plain white leather, they confidently express a sense of detail and fullness of curves. Is it their curves? Is it their monochrome? In any case, CURVY WORLD's creations move the lines: from shelves to mini-stools, the ultra-desirable modernity stems from the sensibility of artist-designer Sarah Montet. Here too, the material matters: in hemp bio-concrete, these handcrafted creations praise a kind of tactile purity. Photographer @thibaut_voisin

IN THE SPOTLIGHT

Created by Ukrainian studio YOD GROUP, the Bonne Bouche café in Mohyliv-Podilskyi opens onto the outdoors with two beautiful patios and large bay windows: a perfect place to enjoy the spring light, as well as a selection of original pastries. As for the seats designed by NOOM, chosen in radiant yellow, they gently enhance the warm spirit of the place. A color associated with good humor, yellow also fits in perfectly with the HOMOCK mocassins: a desire for clear skies and a free spirit that's on display with style.

SUSTAINABLE DESIGN

Natural wood and curved shapes. Visual screen and space structuring element. Created in 1936, Alvar Aalto's SCREEN 100 screen rolls up and unrolls all the arguments of a design beyond time. Designed to last in form and substance, Screen 100 is the work of a master of functionalism, but also of an art lover. Aalto's furniture lines and use of natural materials marked the emergence of softer, warmer forms in the history of design. And when it comes to softness, the BARYKY boots may have a distinctive style, but above all it envelops the step in a certain sensuality. A sense of welcoming roundness to be worn for long-lasting comfort.

DESIGN CONCEPT

If there's one table that has achieved the status of a design icon, it's Isamu Noguchi's IN-50. And yet its creator is first and foremost a sculptor. However, in addition to his unique experimental works, Noguchi also created furniture in his studio, which has since been produced in series. With just two components, wood and glass, the IN-50 coffee table strikes the perfect balance between art and function. Launched in 1948, the Noguchi table was then made of walnut, birch and cherry - today, the very rare vintage pieces featuring this cherry wood are the most prized. Beyond the design, the material matters. As for our iconic BARYKY boot, the stag version magnifies the model's need for flexibility. The seemingly simplistic line of this creation accentuates this second-skin effect. As for the Lactae Hevea® sole, its very nature is to accompany movement without ever tiring.

RENEWED ICONS

Conceived with intention and precision, certain design pieces can withstand decades and trends while retaining their aesthetic acuity. When LC2 was created in 1928 by the Le Corbusier-Jeanneret-Perriand trio, it embodied a new art of living: the quest for comfort. Based on an in-depth study of the human body's posture - of the utmost importance to Le Corbusier - this armchair contrasts the radicality of its sober, angular lines with the softness of its cushions. Now edited by CASSINA, the LC2 is available in a host of different finishes, with its independent tubular structure welded and polished to perfection, and its soft upholstered cushions. Variations in the colors and materials of both cushions and tubing renew the look of this design classic. BARYKY boots are also based on a commitment to craftsmanship and wearability. The same proportions as when they were first created, the demand for unlined skins, the cushioning of Lactae Hevea® and, above all, a purely timeless line: whatever the color and leather chosen, BARYKY boots are a great value.

STYLISTIC EXERCISES

Carpenter-architect Quentin Pigeat's approach to the chair is based on a carefully considered balance: radical lines on four atypical legs, a harmoniously proportioned back and seat and the nobility of sculptural varnished oak. The originality of Chair N°4 lies in the fact that it is made by a French workshop - L'ÉTABLISSEMENT - which masters both the design and manufacture of its creations, based on the tradition of the wood crafts. A classic revisited with apparent simplicity, the babies SADBAA reveals a luxury of details that the craftsmen of the Maison Arche have carefully refined. The glossy finish of the leather contrasts subtly with the matt sole in Lactae Hevea® . The proportions are graceful, and both the neckline and the strap are elegantly tailored.

GOLDEN LEAVES

A burst of gold for this screen with clean, precise lines: designed by TIPTUDIO, MONOLÍTE opens into two leaves that are as majestic as they are mysterious. A glint of light shines through the metal, highlighting the duality of silky and grainy textures. MARAJA Arche’s boots light up your walk with a golden trail. The metallic highlights of their leather give a distinctive curve to their pure, smooth profile.

BRILLIANT SWEETS

With panache, pastry chef YANN COUVREUR draws his gourmet lines for an original log cake inspired by the great outdoors: Toundra. On the outside, a poetic purity that pays homage to the natural beauty of cold climates. On the inside, soft sponge cake, maple syrup caramel and pear combine to create a smooth, creamy whole. LARAZO's shiny boots also inspire long-distance adventure. From the outside, they're pure and clean, with an imprint of good vibes. And on the inside, to be savored in a very personal way, a highly comforting sensation of comfort and flexibility.

EMOTIONAL MATERIAL

Here is a temple dedicated to the best audio equipment in history. Located on the outskirts of Seoul, the Audeum building was designed by Japanese architect KENGO KUMA. Centred on sound and the sensory experiences it provides, This unique museum has been designed using materials that stimulate the senses. Including hearing and sight. The overlapping aluminium slats on the façade are reminiscent of organ pipes: hearing the wind blow through them and feeling the light transform them is bound to stir the emotions. The HAVEKE sneakers raise the tone, so you can walk quietly but move brightly. Silver and black beats, graphic riffs and a smooth feel.

INNOVATION

Respect for know-how and time: these values are part of the creative foundation of STUDIO F. Beyond these fundamentals, Federico Boschiazzi and Francesco Lucchetti strive to understand the material in order to reinvent it with exclusive finishes. The STL24_01 stool is an example of this approach: a combination of mineral patina and liquid silver magnifies the wood. The grain pattern takes on a unique relief, accentuated by alternating round and angular edges for this sculptural seat. In the same vein, Arche is a house that explores the flexibility of leathers with tirelessly renewed creativity. The arche LAKROI derby lends itself ideally to this expressive use of materials. Its timeless lines are underlined by leatherwork embossed with reptile pattern. The silver finish finely accentuates this relief as it accompanies a strikingly contemporary approach.

GLOSSY RANGE

Black lacquer as a mirror of chic: whether for the Aglaé console designed by JORIS POGGIOLI or the SADBYE derby, the reflections of light create a certain magic on the material. Depending on the light of day or evening, the contours change and take on movement. The curves are enriched with radiance, the black shines and gains in intensity.
